Panto to return to Cork Opera House this Christmas

The Panto is back.
Cork Opera House has confirmed that the iconic festive show will make its return to the boards this Christmas season. The venue confirmed that this year’s pantomime would run from December 9th to January 9th.
Writing on Twitter, the theatre announced: “Live Panto returns to our stage with a brand new show, Nanny Nellie’s Adventures in Pantoland. Join Nanny and her friends on a magical trip to Pantoland this Christmas!”
Frank Mackey will reprise his role as Nanny Nellie for the brand new show, which will tie together multiple classic panto storylines — weaving in characters such as Peter Pan, Princess Jasmine, Snow White and Harry Potter. The show is expected to run for 75 minutes without an interval.
The official description goes like this: “Join Nanny, her nephew Jack, best friend Jill and zany, madcap Fairy Tonkerbell on a magical adventure to save Pantoland and all its fairytale favourites from the evil magician Balthazar. And with the help of Jasmine, Peter Pan, Cinderella, and Snow White, they’re battling to save Pantoland from ruin. Will they succeed? Come and join us to find out!”
Tickets will go on sale today from midday from between €24.50 and €26.50, with special rates for family passes here.
