Hollywood’s highest–paid actress spotted eating Jackie Lennox’s in Fitzgerald’s Park

By Katie Mythen-Lynch October 15, 2021October 15, 2021

You couldn’t make it up.

If you were strolling through Cork’s Fitzgerald’s Park this evening, you’d be forgiven for thinking your eyes were deceiving you; none other than Hollywood actress Sofia Vergara and her husband Joe Manganiello were perched beside the pond enjoying an alfresco dinner.

And what was on the menu? Jackie Lennox’s of course.

Sofia might have been the highest–paid Hollywood actress in 2020, but she knows a good dinner deal when she sees one.

The Modern Family star and her actor beau, who played Flash Thompson in Sam Raimi’s Spiderman, shared Instagram snaps of themselves kicking back in the real capital and enjoying the local fare – much to the delight of Cork people all over the world.

Joined by their chihuahua, Bubbles, the pair, who are touring Ireland at the moment, feasted on Jackie’s best before continuing their stroll around the city.

Eagle-eyed fans (some of Vergara’s 23 million on Instagram) spotted that it looks like they may have been staying at the five-star Hayfield Manor hotel during their visit to Cork.

Keep an eye out for them doing Pana tomorrow.

You never know who you might spot in Cork these days. In August, Sofia’s co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson enjoyed a low-key visit to the Rebel County.

Jesse, who plays lawyer dad-of-two Mitchell Pritchett in Modern Family revealed details of a whirlwind trip around Cork and Kerry with his husband Justin Mitika, sharing parts of their itinerary with his three million Instagram fans.

The pair took in a 30-hour tour of the two counties, hitting JM Reidy’s and the jaunting cars in Killarney and dining at Miyazaki Cork.
