We all spent a lot of time at home this year.

And if life in lockdown has left you yearning for new bedroom furniture or a living room overhaul, an upcoming workshop could be exactly what you need to make your decor dreams come true (on a tight budget).

Delivered by upcycling expert Joanne Condon, author of Furniture Crush, the workshop will take place on Sunday, October 24th, 2021 from 10am until 5pm at Cork County Cricket Club on the Mardyke.

Participants will learn how to source, prepare, and prime furniture, how to paint and what paint to use as well as a variety of techniques such as applying wallpaper, transferring fonts, geometric designs, gold leaf, distressing and whitewashing.

Joanne will teach you all you need to know to transfer your new skills to bigger projects at home.

Everything is supplied (all you need to bring is a packed lunch) and you will receive a small piece of furniture to work on along with a detailed booklet containing all the instructions you learned throughout the day.

As per the latest Covid guidelines you will be asked to wear a mask and use hand sanitiser, which will be provided on-site. All tools are sanitised after each use too. An apron will be provided but you may still get paint on your clothes so dress accordingly.

Tickets are €167 here.
