This glorious weather calls for Tanora Gin ICE POPS – here’s the recipe

You might have a bottle in the cupboard.
If you can get your hands on some Blackwater Distillery Tanora Gin (they stock it in SuperValu and Bradleys on North Main Street), you’re in for a fun bank holiday.
Not only is it ridiculously tasty with a splash of tonic and few slices of zesty fresh orange, but this is a tangerine tipple that has many, many uses.
Mixologist John Coleman used it to create his Young Offender cocktail – a mix of Blackwater Tanora Gin, Blackwater Barry’s Tea Gin, Off the Cuffe bitters and homemade ginger syrup, smoked in hickory and tarragon.
Fancy.
But we’ve got something even cooler in mind: Behold: the Tanora Gin Ice Pop.
Ingredients:
800mls Tanora
50mls Blackwater Tanora Gin
Half an orange, juiced OR a splash of orange cordial
Half a nectarine, sliced (you can use tangerine segments too but slice them thinly)
How to make it:
Pop a fruit slice in each ice lolly mould.
Mix the Tanora, Tanora Gin and orange juice or cordial together in a jug.
Pour into an ice lolly mould, freeze for three hours
You’re welcome.
*Please ensure you store alcoholic ice lollies in a separate container in the freezer so they are out of reach of children and dispose of any leftovers.
