30-34 year olds eligible for Pfizer/Moderna vaccine from TOMORROW

More good news on the vaccine front.
Hot on the heels of last Friday’s announcement that anyone between 18-34 would be eligible to receive the Janssen or AstraZeneca vaccine from pharmacies, Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has now announced that mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) will be available to the 30-34 age cohort from tomorrow (July 7th).
This latest announcement actually puts Ireland’s vaccine programme head of its most recently adjusted schedule by a few days.
The rollout will follow the same pattern as each previous age-based rollout through the online portal, with 34-year-olds able to apply from tomorrow, 33-year-olds from Thursday, etc. You can register for a vaccine here.
Minister Donnelly has promised that “appointments will follow in a matter of days with the first vaccinations for this group next week.”
