You can hunt for treasures at this Car Boot Sale on Sunday

It can be hard to part with those ‘what if’ items.
An unused guitar, an antique tea cup collection… gifts that just don’t fit your aesthetic anymore, there are probably some great items lurking in your home, collecting dust.
But out there somewhere is someone who would treasure your old trinkets, and this weekend, Castlemartyr Community Council has the perfect opportunity for you to sell on those bits that deserve a forever home.
With the help of Castlemartyr and Ballintotis Youth Club, the Council will host a car boot sale on Sunday, September 18th on the Castlemartyr GAA grounds in the village.
Sellers are invited to take part in the event, which takes place from 7am to 1pm at a cost of €10 per car and €15 per van. The event is looking to attract both professional and one-off sellers who have something intriguing to trade.
For treasure-hunters looking to rummage through the boots, public entry into the sale costs just €2.
But the day isn’t over yet…once you’ve emptied (or filled) the boot, head the 7km up to Dungourney Clonmult Community-Council Family Fun Day out from 2pm.
Expect food stalls, mini-golf, face painting and races to keep the smallies entertained for the afternoon.
