You can eat (and write) an entire cookbook at this clever pot luck dinner

This could be the perfect time to share that secret family recipe.
An upcoming event in Killeagh will see people from all parts of Ireland and further afield get together for a potluck supper with a brilliant twist.
As part of Culture Night 2018, Greywood Arts Centre is inviting local foodies to bring their favourite dish or beverage to share on Friday, September 21st.
All the recipes, whether it’s your granny’s apple crumble or an exotic local dish from your home town far away, will be added to an original cookbook, complete with instructions and traditions relating to each meal.
“Be prepared to share a little about the ingredients used and any traditions surrounding the food’s preparation and consumption.” reads the invitation.
“Each person will get a template to write their recipe and to share some information about their dish. We want to hear your stories and memories of eating it, or about the traditional cooking and serving of the meal.”
Materials to illustrate or decorate the page will be on hand and Greywood Arts will compile all of the recipes and publish an e-cookbook the following week.
Dishes and cutlery will be provided, along with a few gas burners to keep hot dishes warm.
For more details on the evening, see the Facebook event.
