Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) cancels Sunday Jazz Festival gig, replacement acts announced

A bit of disappointment ahead of the jazz weekend.
The Good Room has announced that rapper Yasiin Bey, known by many as Mos Def, has been forced to cancel one of his Cork Jazz Festival gigs.
The legendary artist had been scheduled to perform at St. Luke’s Church on the Sunday evening (October 24th).
In a statement on Twitter, St. Luke’s wrote: “Due to unforeseen circumstances Yasiin Bey (Mos Def)’s show this Sunday has had to be cancelled. All ticket holders have been contacted and full refunds processed. If you have been affected please check email.”
Organisers have cited “travel issues beyond our control” and have said that they “hope to reschedule this date soon.”
