Wind up your wool and head to this cosy midweek Knitting Night in a Cork city pub

There’s no point in fighting it.
It’s wintertime and wintertime is cold and wet and long. The only thing to do when it’s wintertime and cold and wet and long is to sink into it and do wintertime things like finding a warm corner, sipping hot toddies, and sitting in a cosy pub knitting with your mates.
Maureen’s pub on Shandon Street hosts a monthly knit night in their Northside bar. Knitting enthusiasts, beginners, and spinners are welcome to come along every first Wednesday of the month to chat, sip tea or toddies, swap tips and tricks and maybe even make a new friend or two.
The next Knit Night takes place on Brigid’s Day Wednesday, February 1st.
