Move over Nan, we’re taking up knitting.
Firmly back in vogue, cardigans and fair isle knits are in many SS24 collections.
Possibly influenced by Harry Styles’ signature chic and whimsical sweaters, a new, younger generation of knitters has emerged determined to challenge stereotypes of the craft.
Leading out this woolly revival in Cork is the Knit and Natter night at the charming Cronin’s Bar in Crosshaven, which kicks off its 2024 season on Wednesday, January 10th at 8pm.
The event runs every second Wednesday for the foreseeable and will inspire creativity, camaraderie, and good old yarn sessions.
“The group is fabulous and the women have been long-running friends through this group for 10 years now,” one of the organisers told Yay Cork.
She added that new faces are always welcome to join — regardless of experience level — as this is a place for learning and building a tight-knit community (pun intended).
