This week’s weather can’t make its mind up, according to Met Éireann

Good luck dressing for this weather.
Nobody in Ireland would have been under the illusion that last week’s heatwave would continue forever, but this week’s isn’t exactly what one would consider a return to normal.
In fact, the coming week is set to be all over the place, with weather ranging between warm sunshine and cool showers almost every day.
Today (July 26th) will see “some bright spells early on but cloud will quickly thicken from the west during the morning. Showery rain will move in during the late morning and early afternoon with thundery bursts at times which may lead to spot flooding in places.” Tuesday will bring the same, with temperatures hovering around the 17-21 degree mark.
Rains could intensify on Wednesday: “Sunshine and widespread showers on Wednesday, some heavy with localised thunderstorms. Maximum temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in blustery westerly winds.”
Sunshine is also forecasted for Thursday, as is thunder and lightning. Temperatures will remain at a pleasant 15 to 19 degrees.
At present, there is a weather Advisory in effect for the entire country alerting the public to the possibility of thundery showers. While the notice applies generally, it also specifies that “areas most at risk are Leinster and east Munster later Monday afternoon and evening.” The notice will remain in effect until 5am tomorrow.
