Weather warning issued as Cork braces for Storm Hannah

Batten down the hatches.
A Status Orange – Wind warning has been issued for Cork, Kerry, Clare and Limerick.
According to Met Éireann, we can expect conditions to become stormy on Friday evening and overnight as Storm Hannah moves in.
Today’s sunny weather will give way to showers and longer spells of rain later this afternoon, with temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees and a risk of hail and thunder.
The national forecaster warned of possible service disruption and power outages over the coming weekend, with the weather alert remaining in place until 5am on Saturday, April 27th, 2019.
“Southerly winds, later veering northwesterly will reach mean speeds of 65-80 km/h with gusts of 110 to 130 km/h.” Met Éireann reports.
On the plus side, Sunday will be mild with highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees.
