Weather: Highs of 26C expected in Cork – here’s the best day for a beach trip

This is more like it.
If the weird mix of wind and humidity has been getting you down of late, Met Éireann has some pleasing news for the rest of the week.
Now is a good time to dust off the barbecue because summer is returning from Tuesday on.
According to forecasters, Tuesday will be mainly dry with some sunshine and highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees with light to moderate south to southwest breezes.
Wednesday and Thursday will be dry in most areas with the best of bright or sunny spells in Munster and Leinster and highest temperatures of 15C to 22C.
Right now, it’s looking like the warmest weather will be hitting us on Friday, when temperatures will range from 20 to 26 degrees in Munster. There might be a bit of drizzle to contend with but it’ll still be ideal for your first dip in the sea if you haven’t taken the plunge already.
Current indications suggest that the weekend will bring more sunny weather, with the odd light shower on Saturday and a mainly dry and warm day on Sunday with highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees.
