WATCH: Biggest ever car carrier Morning Laura docks in Cork

Thankfully, Morning Laura did not get stuck.
The world’s largest car transporting ship docked in Cork yesterday to deliver hundreds of cars to Ireland. The Morning Laura, operated by EUKOR, is 232 metres long, making it well over twice the length of your average football pitch.
RTÉ News Southern Editor Paschal Sheehy shared a video of the monster ship coming in to port in Cork.
“The Port of #Cork has welcomed the biggest ever car carrier to the port. The enormous Morning Laura, with a capacity to transport 8,000 vehicles, docked in the port for eight hours yesterday with 682 vehicles on board for distribution in #Ireland.”

The enormous ship is the first to make use of the port’s new terminal. Port of Cork tweeted: “An historic day for the Port yesterday as we welcomed @EUKOR_Official car carrier vessel to our new Terminal. Morning Laura, the biggest car carrier ever to dock in our harbour.” Many of the vehicles delivered are electric vehicles for the Irish market.
