The sun loungers are ready to go.
As Cork prepares to bask in the promised 25C sunshine this Friday, the days between now and then are looking pretty good also.
According to Met Éireann, Wednesday will continue generally dry and brighter with sunny spells and highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.
Tonight will be mostly dry across Munster too, before a warm and dry Thursday with sunny spells and highest temperatures of between 16 and 22 degrees.
When Friday dawns it will be “dry, warm and sunny to start” in Munster and Leinster.
Cloudy today across the north & west with occasional showery outbreaks of rain☁️🌦️
Elsewhere, mostly dry & brighter, with the best of the sunshine in the southeast🌥️
Highs of 15 to 21 degrees, coolest in the northwest, in generally light to moderate southwesterly winds🌡️🍃 pic.twitter.com/AA9jM7IKz6

“Highest temperatures by early afternoon in Munster and southeast Leinster of 20 to 24, or possibly 25 degrees, with highs of 15 to 20 degrees elsewhere, coolest near northwest coasts.”
Enjoy it while it lasts though because the rest of the weekend won’t be as balmy. “It will become noticeably cooler everywhere by evening as mostly moderate southerly winds, veer northwesterly.” said a forecaster.
Saturday is likely to bring cloudy conditions, scattered showers, and highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.
The good news is that the glorious summer weather will begin to make a return next week:
“Early next week it looks to remain somewhat unsettled with showers at times but with a good deal of dry bright weather too. Highs will bounce back too getting up to the high teens and low 20’s.” added the forecasters.
