Union Hall is hosting a War of the Buttons exhibition and they want your memorabilia

It’s three decades since War of the Buttons was filmed in Cork.
Thirty years on, the magic of the 1994 movie is set to return to Union Hall.
West Cork arts group Cnoc Buí, in collaboration with the Local Development Committee, is organising a special exhibition and screening to commemorate the film’s anniversary this autumn.
The exhibition, featuring memorabilia, posters, props, photographs, and costumes, will be open to the public from October 3rd to 6th at Cnoc Buí.

The highlight of the event will be an evening with the film’s producer, Lord David Puttnam, on Saturday, October 5th and a screening of War of the Buttons at the Community Hall, followed by a discussion with Lord Puttnam.
The organisers are calling on the community to come forward and share their memories of the film’s production, with scenes shot in Rosscarbery, Castletownshend, Union Hall and Skibbereen. Any treasures or memorabilia related to the movie are welcome to be part of the exhibition.
“We are looking for treasures and memorabilia, posters, props, photographs or costumes to be part of the exhibition. And we are looking for people with stories to tell! Get involved and help make this celebration unforgettable!” the group posted on Instagram.
