Two Cork pubs have been transformed into Snow Bars for Christmas

Can’t stretch to a ski holiday this year?
Two Cork pubs are attempting to recreate the apres-ski atmosphere for the Christmas period… and they’ve enlisted wedding planner extraordinaire Franc to help them.
Winter Land launches tonight, Friday, at District 11 Glanmire and Ballincollig, with glowing lanterns, twinkling lights and a blanket of freshly fallen (fake) snow to get you in the festive spirit.
Open every evening from 6pm until late, the ‘Snow Bars’ are designed to transport revellers ‘to a location with snow-capped trees, DJs and Christmas shots and cocktails.’
On the drinks menu you can sip a Bad Santa, a Lapland Iced Tea and a Frozen Snowman.
Visitors can stay warm next to the cosy open fire pits, while munching on hot dogs.
Tickets are €11.40 here and can be exchanged at the Alpine Bar in both locations for a Christmas cocktail.
