Once the ferris wheel starts turning on the Grand Parade, you know it’s officially Christmas in Cork.

GLOW, A Cork Christmas Celebration opens this Friday, November 30th – and this year’s theme is a lovely slice of nostalgia.

Bishop Lucey Park is being  transformed by local company Triangle Productions, who are working to recreate ‘The Night Before Christmas in Old Cork’.

A whopping 160,000 people enjoyed GLOW last year, nabbing fantastic views of Cork City on the 30m Ferris Wheel before eating roasted chestnuts and festive treats at the Christmas Market – all to the sound of Cork choirs and bands.

It’s so Christmassy.

GLOW will run every weekend in the build up to Christmas and also on Christmas week from Thursday December 20^th to Saturday December 22^nd.
