Two Aldi wines are now officially among the best in the world

Fetch us a large trolley.
Two Aldi wines have taken Silver awards at the world’s largest wine competition in London.
Amongst the coveted Silver medals winners at the Decanter World Wine Awards were Aldi’s hugely popular Exquisite Collection Argentinian Malbec (€7.99) and Exquisite Collection Leyda Sauvignon Blanc (€8.99).
Judged by a panel of 280 world-renowned wine experts, including 70 Masters of wine, this prestigious competition pits the very best wines from around the globe against each other in a series of rigorous blind taste tests.
“Once again, Aldi has demonstrated its outstanding ability to source exceptional wines at exceptionally keen prices,” said Tom Doorley, Aldi’s Wine Expert.
“Two of Aldi’s wines that took bronze- the organic Toro Loco from Spain and the Estevez Sauvignon Blanc 2018 from Chile – are amongst the most inexpensive on the shelves, which just goes to show that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to get a lot of pleasure from superb wines.”
Music to our ears, Tom. Music to our ears…
