Lunch doesn’t get better than this.

If you like sharing boards and delicious bites for dipping more than sitting down for a formal midday meal, one Kinsale café is bringing back the platter of dreams.

O’Herlihys Kinsale, better known as OHK Cafe has relaunched their Messy Mezze for summer 2019; and it’s got more tasty ingredients than you can shake a bread roll at.

Thanks to the abundance of fresh vegetables, fruit, leaves and herbs landing in the OHK kitchens during the sunny season, the menu is modified slightly every week but it always features a cheese, some freshly baked breads, local fruits, a herby hummus or pesto, garlicky olives and stuffed vine leaves or artichoke.

They say it’s “basically a ramekin or spoonful of all the good things in our kitchen… perfect for sharing and definitely to be enjoyed with a glass of vino.”

We couldn’t agree more, actually. They open Tuesday to Saturday (9am to 3.30pm) and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Follow the OHK Insta feed for updates.
