Everything tastes better from a food truck.

We don’t know why, but one of the hottest food trends of recent years is showing no signs of slowing down.

In fact, the craze has finally reached the gourmet capital; the Gourmet Food Truck has pulled up at Hamlets of Kinsale on a permanent basis, with a fresh and exciting menu and plenty of fun summer specials.

The vintage truck can be found in the Hamlets courtyard from 12pm-9pm seven days a week, dishing up brunch, lunch and desserts.

Word has it there’s an ice cream machine on the way too.

Their classic Fish & Chips is salty, seaside perfection, but it’s their Signature Fish Taco we keep going back for.

Kinsale Pale Ale battered fish, spicy dill dressing, red cabbage and pico de gallo salsa in a wrap, served with fries, this is one of our all-time favourite summer dishes to enjoy in 2019.

Divine.

Meanwhile, the Calamari & Chips comes with fresh rocket and homemade garlic aioli and there’s also a Classic Blue Haven Toastie on offer, made on batch bread with Kelleher’s ham.

Wash it all down with one of Hamlets’ new iced teas (try the green tea with mint and honey, the cold brew peach or the strawberry grapefruit whiskey iced tea).

You can grab your food to go and enjoy it at home (or on the beach) or find a comfy table at Hamlets to enjoy an al fresco meal in the sunshine.

The Gourmet Food Truck can also be booked for your party food, so if you’re having a next day wedding party, a corporate get-together or a birthday bash, your guests will be served from the truck on the night.
