To Shandon for a queer tarot reading with queer tarot cards in a cute city park

Cork Midsummer is a feast of alternative culture.
And this year’s programme is one of the most intriguing yet, particularly if you enjoy divining wisdom, queer theatre, delicious food, great music, and the great outdoors.
Curated by Abbey Blake and produced by Arann Blake of punk band Pretty Happy in collaboration with LGBTQ+ artists from Cork city, Quare is taking over St Anne’s Park in Shandon from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday, June 19th, 2022.
“Happenings in the park include a fascinating visual art story trail featuring radio play-style stories by queer individuals.” say the organisers.
“An intriguing fortune-teller invites you to hear your queer Tarot reading with specially designed queer tarot cards by artist Emer Kiely. Cork artist Padraic Barrett and theatre-maker Rosa Mäkelä present playful carnival-style installations and games, while Plugd Records will spin tunes for the afternoon.”
Delighted to announce our music lineup for Quare. From dream pop to psychedelia we bring the best of what Cork City has to offer ☀️ @foggynotions x @CorkMidsummer pic.twitter.com/xN97SCGfPL
