It’s got all the ingredients for a fabulous night.
An upcoming boutique dining event will see foodies meet around the vast table at No. 14 Wolfe Tone Square in Bantry for a hands-on Masterclass in crafting the perfect cocktail and pairing canapés, followed by a two-course vegetarian dinner.
Organised by food writer Kate Ryan of West Cork based Flavour.ie, The Cocktail Social on April 8th, 2019 is the first in a series of exciting pop-up dining events at one of West Cork’s hidden gems.
Nights at #14 will mix experiences, food and learning in a gorgeous setting in the heart of Bantry, the first of which will be led by Caitlin Ruth, head chef of Deasy’s Harbour Bar and Restaurant in Ring, Clonakilty.
“Caitlin is an exciting and inventive flavour-lead chef and cocktail mixologist who loves to experiment with natural flavours and play with seasonality.” says Kate.
“Caitlin’s Masterclass, The Cocktail Social, will show you all the tricks of the trade for creating the perfect cocktail, and then encourage you to experiment with making your own! Guests will also learn about bitters, tonic waters, infused liqueurs and much more; and because these events have been designed for a smaller gathering, Caitlin and I will be able to spend more time with our guests and answer any question they might have.
Every guest will leave with Workshop Notes and Cocktail Recipes to take away so you can wow your future dinner guests with delicious and intriguing cocktails.
Tickets for The Cocktail Social (€75pp) include the Masterclass, all drinks and canapés, a two course vegetarian meal and notes. For more information and to book, visit the website or call Kate Ryan on 086 2059360.
