Three more acts have been added to the line-up for Cork’s Joy in the Park

It’s shaping up to be a brilliant day.
Stephen James Smith, Jinx Lennon and Stevie G are amongst the latest artists to be announced for this year’s Joy In the Park, joining The Frank & Walters, Karen Underwood and Aoife Scott for this year’s festival.
The fun takes place outdoors in Fitzgerald’s Park on Sunday, July 23rd as part of a celebration of life highlighting the importance of minding our mental health.
The Joy Sylvie Stage returns for this year’s event, bringing a fresh eclectic vibe to the afternoon with internationally acclaimed Dublin poet, Stephen James Smith headlining the spoken word. Stephen has performed worldwide over the past 20 years from Ballydehob to Bangkok and will be joined by Emmet O’Brien, Bubba Shakespeare, Jim Crickard, Rosalin Blue with Stan Notte as MC.
A regular at all the major festivals and one of Ireland’s music pioneers, Red FM DJ Stevie G will be spinning the decks, bringing a sound system of hip-hop, soul, and afro-beats during the afternoon, whilst Jinx Lennon, one of Ireland’s most iconic underground artists, deals with social issues through his honest, gritty, funny and up-lifting punk folk commentary based songs.
Returning for its second round, Ringo: Music Bingo, the world’s greatest Comedy-Music-Intro-Game-Not-Quiz, will host a round of family movie theme tunes as well as some classic pop songs.
The Cork Headway Choir, formed by members of an organisation for adults with Acquired Brain Injury, will also perform.
