Good news for the northside.

Cork City Council is progressing plans for a brand-new park in the North West of the city — giving locals more green space to walk, play, and enjoy the outdoors.

Inviting the public to ‘shape the future of our new city park’, the Council is inviting ideas from the public about how to turn the land, located between Knocknaheeny and Killeens, into a usable space.

Proposed features include a playground, dog park, sports fields, walking trails, outdoor event spaces, pump tracks and a skate park and a coffee dock.

“We are excited to create a new park for Cork City and would love your input!” they posted, sharing a five-minute survey.

“Your thoughts and ideas will help shape its design and ensure it serves our community for years to come. It would take approximately five minutes to complete this survey.”
