This Shandon Street pub is selling pints at Nineties prices tonight

Oasis or Blur?
That’s the most important question of the night tonight as one Cork pub invites us to step back in time and celebrate everything that’s great about the 1990s.
Britpop Night kicks off at 8pm (Friday, January 25th) at The Friary on Shandon Street. Dig out your Buffalo boots, brown lipliner, low-rise jeans and chokers; it’s time to party like it’s 1993.
From Cool Britannia, All Saints and The Spice Girls to Jamiroquai’s car collection, the Friends theme song and Bjork it’s shaping up to be a night of pure nostalgia and fun throwbacks.
The Friary crew will not only be blasting Britpop era classics all night, but they’ll also be selling drinks at 1990s prices; from 8pm until 10pm, pints of Indian Summer, Kegs Benedict and Erdinger will be a bargain €3.50 – perfect if payday couldn’t come soon enough this month.
You can request all the classic hits you like from DJ Mike Darcy; Supergrass, Suede and Ash will rekindle some memories.
Personally, we’ll be hitting the dance floor for nothing less than Whigfield.
Dee dee na na na!
