This lovely group is handing out free school stationery packs to children who need them

Times are tight.
And with September looming, many Cork families are facing increasing worries about how to pay for all the associated costs of sending children back to school.
If you’re struggling to afford items such as pens and pencils, copybooks, and folders, a Cork organisation has packed up the lot into a thoughtful bundle for school-age children in need.
Feed Cork is handing out the School Packs today, August 12th and tomorrow, Saturday, August 13th from 10am-2pm at Cork Church at the back of Connolly Hall on Lower Oliver Plunkett Street in Cork city centre.
“Our annual School Stationary Packs (provided by the SMD Programme) are now available for pick up at Feed Cork, for those families that need extra support.” the group said on Instagram.

“Please bring proof of your school-age children, a medical card, or PPS number (we will not collect any personal data). We have packs for Primary and Secondary ages, not college-age young adults.
“We have plenty of packs so if you come at 10am or 1:30pm you will be sure to get a pack for your student!”
