There’s nothing like a pint in your local.

But with Level 5 restrictions set to continue for the foreseeable future, an Irish company has come up with a novel way to help you pass the time in January.

Paint by the Pints is selling a Paint Your Local Pub kit containing all the crafty bits you need to create an artistic ode to your favourite watering hole.

Standard kits contain a 30 x 30cm canvas panel (larger panels and stretched canvas are also available), a paintbrush set, acrylic paints, a pencil for sketching in the details and a can of Guinness or Hop House 13 for sipping while you work.

If there is a specific photo of your local you’d like to paint, just send it to [email protected] with your order number and they’ll make a custom stencil for you.

The Individual Paint Your Local Pub Kit is €40 here, with party kits available if you’d like to organise a mini painting party with your other half or housemate.
