Planning a little couples getaway?
If you like your outdoor adventures with a side of luxury, there’s a brand new Airbnb to check out on the Beara Peninsula.
The Workshop in Adrigole sleeps two in a comfy handmade king-size bed, surrounded by high ceilings, brick walls, exposed plumbing and hardwood floors.
The vintage design details give the property an authentic New York warehouse conversion feel… surrounded on all sides by rolling green fields and mountain ranges.
Factory doors lead to an open plan living area with comfortable seating and a wood-burning stove for cosy nights in and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need for cooking up a feast for two. There’s even a mezzanine area accessible only by a scissor lift.
After a long day of exploring the jaw-dropping scenery of the Sheep’s Head, the Caha Mountains and the famous Healy Pass, you can soothe sore muscles with a long soak in the free-standing bath.
The entire place is wired with a 1970’s ball speakers system and wifi too so you can choose your own tunes to enjoy while you kick back.
“You are also more than welcome to visit our garden and even go up to our Mount Hanno at the rear of the house to see the ocean from another perspective,” says host, Vanessa.
“The building is located on the same property as Mossie’s Bed & Breakfast but totally separate from the main house. You will share the driveway and outdoor spaces only with our B&B guests.”
“Shops and restaurants are about 20 minutes away but we do have a pub just down the road from us.”
The Workshop is available for limited dates in October and November (there’s a four-night minimum, €125 per night) so check the calendar on Airbnb to book.
