This creepy night time play will be staged in a Cork City park

This will be a hot ticket.
As darkness falls on Fitzgerald’s Park in late June, theatre fans and curious guests will make their way through the gates and along the banks of the Lee for a truly unique experience.
Corcadorca Theatre Company, renowned for their penchant for unusual locations, will stage a new outdoor production, The Numbered as part of the Cork Midsummer Festival at 10.30pm nightly from June 15th to 30th – and it’s guaranteed to be the show everyone’s talking about this summer.
The play asks ‘what if we all knew at what age we were going to die – how would this change us as individuals and as a society?’
Intriguing…
The Numbered, an engaging and thought-provoking play by award-winning writer Elias Canetti, presents such a world.
Reuniting the Irish Times Theatre Award-winning design team from 2017 festival hit Far Away, including Mel Mercier (Best Soundscape), and Aedin Cosgrove and Paul Keogan (Best Lighting), The Numbered sees Corcadorca return to Cork’s iconic Fitzgerald’s Park, where they staged the acclaimed production A Midsummers Nights Dream in 2001.
Previews take place June 15th-16th, and the show runs until June 30th. Tickets (€26; Concession €22; Previews €20) available here.
