This Cork tennis club is looking for new members (and beginners are welcome)

Looking for a new way to get some exercise?
With tennis courts back in business after months of Covid-19 closure, one 40-year-old Cork club has put the call out for new members… and you don’t need any experience to give it a go.
Bishopstown Lawn Tennis Club has launched a series of summer special deals to celebrate the return to play. The Club has six outdoor floodlit artificial grass tennis courts and a clubhouse with changing facilities, a function and meeting room, and a kitchen.
The deal for adults is membership until January 1st, 2022 for €165. Family or couples membership is also discounted by 40% and is priced at €255. For students, the price is €85 and €60 for under 18s.
“Over the years we have seen our members increasing gradually.” said club chairman, Joe Murray.
“All levels of tennis ability are catered for from beginner to social to competitive. The club is also participating in and holding junior, senior, and veteran competitions.
“We want to become a major part of the community and make tennis available for all. We have big plans.”
Beginners adult training sessions run regularly so check out Bltc.ie for more details.
