Can’t wait for your local to reopen?

If a few weeks’ wait just seems too long, one Cork pub has come up with a way to bring the party to your house.

The Old Oak on Oliver Plunkett Street has just launched a ‘Dial A Pint’ service, allowing Cork’s thirsty pint drinkers to pre-order pints of Guinness or Carslberg and have them delivered directly to their doorstep.

It works like this:

1. 1. Pre-order by calling 021 427 6165 to book your slot.
   2. The phone lines open at 12pm – 5pm today (Saturday) taking orders through the weekend.
   3. The PintMan Van will appear at your house for a 15-minute slot (minimum order of five pints), a 30-minute slot (minimum order of 10 pints) or a one hour slot (minimum order of 20 pints).

Slots are available from 2pm – 9pm every day (within designated delivery range) and payment must be made by credit card in advance during your phone order.

The cost is €6 per pint and delivery is free, complete with your very own barman. Do note, however; no top-up orders are available at point of delivery.

“Houses can provide the first glass for the first round and we provide plastic glasses after that,” said AnneMarie from the Old Oak.
