This Cork City band just had a brand new Rising Sons beer named after them

It has that extra kick to it.
It might be the drum or it might be the lager yeast they’ve added to make the beer, but Rising Son’s new IPA certainly has a certain je ne sais quoi.
This month, Rising Sons announced an unusual collaboration for their newest release. The Cork City brewery approached local group Va Va Voom The Band, a group of high-octane musical professionals, to see if they would lend the makers their name and energy to create a musical/beer fusion in their honour.
“Here at Rising Sons, we always strive to make our beers with three qualities, love, passion and rock and roll. Now we’re really bringing rock and roll to the brewery,” said the crew on social media.
The beer is a cold IPA, meaning it’s fermented at lower temperatures with lager yeast to give it a very crisp citrus and tropical fruit flavour creating a well-crafted and very lively 4.5% ale to get your taste buds dancing.

To coincide with the beer’s release, the band released a short “documentary” of the making of the beer, which includes frontman Ben Hendrick directing his bandmates to add a literal bass, drum, sax, and song to a large vat, as well as lending a hand on the ground to lug hops through the warehouse and into the processors to put the finishing touches on the collab.
Va Va Voom IPA is available on tap in the Rising Sons on the Coal Quay now.
