This Cork chef celebrated her weight loss in the best way ever

It’s an incredible achievement.
As head chef at Jacob’s on the Mall, Trisha Lewis works hard in the kitchen of one of Cork’s best restaurants, but her happy customers are completely oblivious to one important fact: she’s been working even harder in the gym.
This week Trisha celebrated her 66lb weight loss in the best way ever; with a photo of her much slimmer, happier self standing in front of 66lbs of butter – one for every pound of fat she’s burned.
At 26 stone, Trisha, who is from Kilbeheny in Limerick, decided to change her life in the pursuit of better health.
Having signed up with Dennehy’s Health and Fitness, she hit the gym with a personal trainer and changed her diet, charting everything on her Instagram page @TrishasTransformation, where almost two thousand fans are following her progress.
Explaining her weight loss journey, Trisha (30) posted:
“I’m so proud of me. I’m slowly fighting a battle I was plagued with for years. I’ve tried gyms, diets everything over the years and I just couldn’t get it right. I couldn’t beat it.
My mind was too negative! I’ve now realised size will never be a limitation for me. Size does not matter. 26 stone I stepped into the gym so scared. Terrified and sad.
I wasn’t fast, mobile or strong. My lungs were on fire. Everything ached. Tears welled up in my eyes as sweat rolled down my face. I knew I would fail again but only if I did one thing. Quit.”
But Trisha persevered, prepping healthy meals to keep her on track and ditching her favourite Coca Cola in favour of water.
