Even Picasso had to start somewhere.
A new advice clinic for Cork artists will answer important questions about getting started and professionally exhibiting your work for sale.
The next 2020 Creative Careers Advice Clinic happens at the 2020 Gallery on the North Mall on Wednesday, October 2nd, with another scheduled for Saturday, November 2nd, 2019.
Each clinic costs €118 (book here) but the advice could be invaluable if you’re just kicking off a career.
At the appointment you will meet with industry expert Sheelah Moloney, director of 2020 Curates, who will help you find the answer to your selling art question.

“I have over 15 years experience as an arts manager, curator and gallery director so I understand the struggles that artists face in getting their work exhibited and have invaluable insight into the solutions.” says Sheelah.
“Each session is private and one to one. We’ll discuss your work and your goals and together we’ll devise a plan of action for you climb up the business of art ladder.”
These sessions are perfect for any artist with some previous experience of selling or exhibiting their work who has a specific issue they need assistance with such as, how to increase prices or how to apply to art galleries, for example.
“The clinic offers one-to-one, one-hour meetings for artists with previous experience selling their work but struggling with some specific aspect of the business.” Sheelah adds.
All you need to bring is a notebook, a pen and some examples of your work or portfolio (not essential).
