A Yarn Bombing Workshop is on the way and it looks like a fun time

It was becoming a lost art.
Thanks to new trends like yarn bombing however, crochet is finding its cool again and there’s a two-night hands-on workshop happening in Cork in October if you’d like to give it a go.
For the uninitiated, ‘yarn bombing’, also known as ‘knitfiti’, is the activity of covering objects or structures in public places with decorative knitted or crotcheted material, as a form of street art.
Supported by funding from Creative Ireland, Lou Stepney will lead a class in crochet for beginners and experienced crafter at the gorgeous Greywood Arts Centre in Killeagh on Thursday, October 3rd and Thursday, October 10th, 2019.
The ‘Yarn Bombing’ workshop will teach participants how to make granny squares, pom-poms and other small shapes for an installation in a public place in Killeagh village.
All materials are provided on the night (7pm-9.30pm) and tickets are €22.20 here).
