Cool kids take note; this class will cure your fermentation FOMO

Are you even a hipster if you’re not meddling with a fermented brew or two?
We’re all gone probiotic mad these days, but if you’re experiencing fermentation FOMO, there’s hope for you yet.
Now there’s an upcoming practical workshop that will show you exactly how to create all your favourite gut-healthy concoctions at home – and it could potentially save you a lot of cash in the long run if pricey pickles are permanently on your grocery list.
Over one afternoon (2pm on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 at Ballymaloe Cookery School) Penny Allen will ‘demistify and remove the fear’ of making your own fermented foods, showing a small class how to make sauerkraut, kombucha and water kefir.
Imagine; some day soon your kitchen cupboards could look like this…
Penny will also explain why fermented foods are an important part of a healthy diet, taking everyone on a tour of the Ballymaloe organic farm, gardens, dairy and greenhouses in search of ingredients.
All participants will leave with a pack of recipes, a jar of sauerkraut (ready to eat in five days) and starter cultures for kombucha and kefir so you can immediately put everything you’ve learned to use in your own kitchen at home.
The class costs €135 and you can book your place here.
