These fun charity Dog Walks are popping up in towns all over Cork

Want to use your walkies for a worthy cause?
The Cork Branches of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind are asking the public to join their Dog Walks for Guide Dog Day this weekend, with events planned all over the city and county.
Young Offenders actor Shane Casey will be leading the Ballincollig walk.
Walks taking place in Cork include:
- Ballincollig – Regional Park, Ballincollig on Saturday, 27th May, at 11 am. There will be a 3km or a 5km route.
- Bantry – Bantry Boardwalk (meeting point is at Slob Car Park) on Saturday, May 27th at 11am. The walk will be 5km and will last about one hour.
- Douglas – Tramore Valley Park (meeting point is at the Douglas entrance) on Sunday, 28th May at 12pm. The walk will be 2.5km and will last about 30 minutes.
- Macroom – Castle Demense Town Park (meeting point is at Macroom GAA Complex) on Sunday, 28th May at 11am. The walk will be 5km and will last about one hour.
- Cobh – Carrigrennan Walk in Little Island (meeting point is at the car park) on Sunday, May 28th at 11am. The walk will be 2.5km and will last about 30 minutes.
“We encourage you to bring your four-legged friends and wear an item of green clothing.” said a spokesperson for the event.
“There is no registration fee. Simply join us on the day.”
