These Cork foodies are using parts of a fallen tree to make an interesting tincture

It’s made with lots of booze.
A fallen hawthorn tree is the inspo behind the latest fundraising initiative by the fabulous folk at My Goodness.
Cork’s beloved English Market vegan café and grocery shop has taken the products of the recently fallen tree from the former Ursuline Convent in Blackrock to make a hawthorn tincture.
For those not in the know, a tincture is typically an extract of plant dissolved in ethanol and used asa. drink to promote health and well-being. My Goodness is using vodka for their particular concoction.
With hearts as big as their flavours, the foodie business already donated half of their October profits to a crisis charity dedicated to Gaza.
Now all the proceeds from this inspiring new tincture venture will be funneled toward helping the people of Gaza again.
“It’s the perfect medicine for times like this,” they explain, as it “treats broken hearts and anxiety”.
The batch will be ready in time for Christmas and if any herbal enthusiasts have extra tincture bottles that they’d like to donate, My Goodness will welcome them with open arms.
