There’s another huge mural underway in town, this one’s on the Grand Parade

It’s an enormous canvas.
City shoppers got a sneak peek at the latest large-scale mural to pop up in Cork City Centre this weekend, as artists started plotting the design of a huge piece in Bishop Lucey Park.
The wall can be seen from the Grand Parade, meaning the finished artwork will add a brand new view from one of Cork’s busiest thoroughfares.

Waterford Walls have been working with local artists all over Ireland to transform dull spaces into impressive works of art.
The last piece, a magnificent Shane Sutton astronaut holding a daisy, just outside the Cornmarket Centre off Paul Street, was commissioned by Cork City Council and Blackrock Castle Observatory earlier this summer.
