‘There are no regrets’ – Popular Kinsale wine bar and bistro to close after five years

There’s still time to book one last meal.
But Kinsale wine bar and bistro Cru is set to close its doors permanently on Saturday, January 14th, after five years in business in the seaside town.
Nestled in Main Street, Cru is owned by Colm Ryan, who opened the eatery after leaving London in search of a slower pace of life.
“We have decided not to renew our lease in March so the restaurant will close on Sat 14th Jan.” Colm explained in an Instagram post.
“We’ve had five years here (gone in the blink of an eye) and although it’s been difficult at times, there are no regrets, just many new friends made and lots of great memories.
“I’d like to thank all of my staff for their hard work, particularly Dalia and Emma in the kitchen, and Fred and Xav on the floor. Thank you also to our suppliers and to Laura and Andrew at Perryville and to the team at Old Head, for introducing so many lovely people to us.
“And to our regular customers, people who visited us weekly or monthly and who experienced my many ups and downs with me, thank you for your generosity and support.”
Keep an eye on Instagram for updates on what the Cru crew do next.
