Grab a coffee and drop your post at this cosy country Coffee Kiosk

Ireland’s post offices are disappearing.
But in Rathbarry, a small but mighty village located in the heart of idyllic woodland and along the coast between Rosscarbery and Ardfield, their hard-working post office is the centre of the community – and you can even grab a cappuccino when you stop in for stamps.
The post-office-come-shop has traditionally been a bit of a meeting spot for locals, but with the addition of the Coffee Kiosk and a sprinkle of sunshine in late spring, you’re sure to find the sloping lawns bustling with people chowing down on chocolate-covered waffles and coffees, lounging out under the gazebo and around the picnic tables.
The kiosk even boasts a wide selection of gelato come June with sundaes flying out the post office window hotcakes. And if you’re in the mood for lunch, the baristas will be serving up bagels, wraps and smoothies too.
Rathbarry consists of little more than a pub, church, and the aforementioned post office but it’s surrounded by historical gems including a Celtic cross, standing stones, ring forts, and a sprigging school as well as a selection of stunning wood and beach walks.
If you’re looking for an adventurous day out, strike off on the Long Strand-Castlefreke loop or stroll along the Castlefreke Walking Trail before your waffles.
