It’s almost chocolate season.
Easter is around the corner and we are already dreaming of that sweet steady supply of sugar about to land in every home.
If you can’t quite wait that long, however (Easter Sunday isn’t until April 12th so the Easter Bunny has some free time yet) there is a Cork café that’s invented the perfect treat to tide you over.
The 20-year-old Red Store café and bar in Youghal is now serving a Creme Egg Hot Chocolate.
Every mug of Creme Egg Hot Chocolate involves a full Cadbury’s Creme Egg, melted in hot milk until deliciously gooey and topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkling of chocolate drops.

It’s the perfect answer to the question: how do you eat yours? In Youghal they drink it and we couldn’t be more supportive of their choice.
Bring the car ’round. We’re off for a seaside spin.
