January is finally over. Here are 6 desserts to devour right this very second

By Katie Mythen-Lynch February 2, 2020January 31, 2020

Well, that was never-ending.

If you’ve been on the healthy eating bandwagon for the past four weeks you’ll agree that they definitely made January even longer this year.

Now that it’s finally over, we’re in the mood for a little well-deserved indulgence. From now on, when the server offers a dessert menu, we’ll be grabbing it with both hands.

Here are six gloriously cakey, custardy, creamy things to stuff your face with:

1. THE BROOKIE SUNDAE AT MARKET LANE

Oliver Plunkett Street

This Brookie and Chocolate Ice Cream Sundae is served with salted caramel popcorn. Trust us; it’s entirely worth an extra trip to the gym next week.

2. THE REESE’S PIECES PANCAKES AT LAB 82

Lower Glanmire Road

Sometimes you just need peanut butter and chocolate for breakfast. Lab 82’s Reese’s Pieces involves a stack of their fluffy house pancakes, peanut butter, Nutella, freshly whipped cream and a generous sprinkling of Reese’s Chocolate Pieces.

3. THE CHOCOLATE SLICE AT GOOD DAY DELI

Nano Nagle Place

A festival of chocolate, coconut, and cacao, this little beauty is the perfect treat after a long week. Added bonus; it’s 100% vegan.

Goldie’s mascarpone and espresso mousse with chocolate marquise and a chocolate crumb is the perfect way to complete a meal at their buzzy gold bar.

Brunch and dessert all rolled into one, the vanilla and blueberry French toast at Ali’s Kitchen is smothered in mascarpone and orange butter and topped with lovely crumby bits and fresh berries.
