The Warming Wagon beach sauna is about to reopen. Here are the first available dates

It’s been a stressful few months.
But now that we’ve been released from lockdown, a little rest and relaxation on Cork’s gorgeous coastline has never looked so good.
If you can’t swing a proper staycation at the moment, all you need is a couple of hours to feel like you’ve had a mini holiday at The Warming Wagon, which reopens to the public next week.
The beach sauna will be fired up for the first time since lockdown began at Sandycove in Kinsale on June 29th, 2020. The Warming Wagon will pitch up at Gyleen in East Cork on Wednesday, July 1st at 6pm, followed by Schull on Friday, July 3rd at 6pm, so you can chill out in the wood-fired heat before plunging into the sea to cool off.

“Regarding Covid, our sauna with our new policies and deep cleanliness is naturally a very harsh environment for it to survive.” said owner Tadgh O’Driscoll, announcing the reopening on Instagram.
“There’s been a lot of change and over €12k investment in these five months to make the sauna workable, insurable, and safe so please bear with us as we navigate our way back into action.”
Here’s how it will work: 15 minute, 30 minute and 60-minute slots will be available (priced at €10, €20 and €35 respectively) with a strict maximum of four people per hour outside of private hire.
If you’d like to make a beach sauna session a regular part of your week, annual memberships are now available too. You can book and find out more via Instagram here.
