Good news if you’re looking for a job, or a cheeseburger.
The Fermoy McDonald’s, located at junction 14 on the M8 motorway, has announced that it will be opening a drive-thru service, and that it’s currently looking for staff.
Of course, it’s great news that the drive-thru will create 50 new jobs in the area, but let’s be real: anything that makes it easier to get a McDonald’s is good news.
We can all swan around and act like we are above Maccy D’s but the reality is we love it, even if only as a guilty pleasure. If you turn down the opportunity to have a McNugget, you’re either weird, or a vegetarian (in which case, fair enough).
There are 10 Golden Arches throughout Cork, with the Fermoy location being one of the newest, having opened in 2018 — and obviously being closed for much of the Covid-19 lockdown period.
The new drive-thru is set to operate seven days a week, from 9am to midnight.
