The Lough Café is opening a riverfront sister spot in the centre of town

We like a coffee with a view.
And Cork’s newest café will offer some of the prettiest scenery in the city when it opens next week.
The team behind The Lough Café is putting the finishing touches on their new venture, The Lee Cafe, which is set to open on Thursday, September 7th at Wellington Bridge near the Mardyke.
The café will be serving 3fe Coffee and they are also in talks with local roasteries about roasting their own brand down the line.
“In the beginning we will be doing coffee, cakes and treats as well as toasties and sandwiches; all homemade.
“We just think it’s crazy that Cork hasn’t made the most of its rivers.” owner Ronan Power told Yay Cork.
“We think we will be the only riverfront café within the city environs. It will definitely be an outdoorsy place and once people come in and sit outside in our riverside decking area they will see why.
The café will have plenty of indoor seating too “with views of swans, fish jumping (no word of a lie), views of the old Wellington bridge and where the river Lee splits into two tributaries.”
Opening times will be 8.30am-6pm Monday to Friday and 10am-6pm Saturday and Sunday and they’re on the lookout for baristas to join the team so if you’re on the hunt for a job, DM them here.
