The first Nano Nagle Christmas Market opens this weekend (and it’s a treat for book lovers)

It might be the most Christmassy spot in Cork.
Nano Nagle Place will launch the first of four Winter Markets in the run up to Christmas this weekend, when Cork City Book Fair returns on Saturday, November 27th, 2021.
After an enforced absence of more than twelve months, the City Book Fair is back in town, with dealers from throughout the country setting up on Douglas Street with a wide selection of books on offer.
If you’re on the hunt for the perfect gift, you can browse a fascinating selection of antiquarian, out-of-print, local, Irish, and general interest books and some coins too.
Next week, on Sunday, December 5th, you can support local charities and community groups by dropping by the Community Market. Nano Nagle’s own Lantern and Cork Migrant Centre will be there, selling crochet, knitting, textiles, and more.
Foodie gifts and a hog roast
The following week on Sunday, December 12th, the focus will be on sustainability and food, with lots of natural products including Christmas wreaths, candles, chocolates and cookies. Make sure to arrive hungry so you can enjoy the hog roast.
Finally, the Designer Market takes place on Sunday, December 19th, with stylish items to complement the Nano Nagle Design Shop, as well as ceramics, prints, and paintings, jewellery, wool crafts, woodwork, and intriguing air plants.
The markets run from 10am-5pm on each day, with Nano Nagle’s own bookshop and design shop open too midweek for some sneaky Christmas shopping on your lunchbreak.
