4 perfectly festive Cork Christmas markets you can check out this weekend

We’re spoiled for choice.
There was once a time when there wasn’t one decent Christmas market to be had across the city and county, but fast forward to today, and we only have time to get to a fraction of the ones we know about.
Not only do they give us a chance to find new and exciting Irish brands, craftspeople and artists but they are also fantastic for the local economy. But sometimes we just don’t know where to find these magical smaller markets.
This weekend, step outside your comfort zone and head to one of these pop-up markets to find yourself some local treasures:
1. Mini Craft Fair at Maureen’s
“There will be a wee mini craft fair this Saturday afternoon in the room featuring Niamh Leonard Art, Riki Mats, Tinderbox Ceramics and Lou coffee plus a few others,” said the Shandon bar crew on Instagram.
You can pick out a unique gift and tuck into some mulled wine from the bar and there will also be a few treats including donuts from Mebs Veg available. The Mini Craft Fair at Maureen’s will take place from 12pm-5pm on Saturday, December 2nd. Limited bar service, no seating available.

2. The Address
For a festive fashion fix, head to The Address on Military Hill this Sunday.
The luxury hotel will host stalls from Lily Rose Boutique in Kilkenny, the fabulous Jennifer from Love Life Fashion in Cobh who both sell gorgeous dresses and will no doubt have a selection of seasonal wear for you to try on. Juniper Lane will have a selection of homeware and lifestyle gifts, posh pyjamas, quilted cardigans and other bits alongside the folks from the Diamond Buyers Club.
The Christmas Pop-Up Market takes place from 1pm-5pm on Sunday, December 3rd.

3. Deelish Garden Centre
If you are down West on Sunday, head to Skibbereen for a jaunt around Deelish Garden Centre.
“We have so many very very talented people coming to sell their creations,” said the Deelish crew on Instagram; they’ll be joined on Baltimore Road by Wild Atlantic Soaps, Fiain Herbel, Foxglove Cocktail Company, Bell Book Candle Crafts as well as Amber Therapies, Alot of Scents by Sarah, and Eile West Cork, who will be serving vegan grub and sweet treats.
The market will take place from 11am-5pm on Sunday, December 3rd.

4. CECAS at Myross Wood
Just over the road, CECAS is promising the best of West Cork at the former retreat centre this year with over 40 stalls manned by local traders, craftspeople and artists filling up the prayer rooms and courtyard.
“The range of stalls includes festive food, crafts, gifts, plants, arts and vintage, so there will really be something for everyone. This will be a great chance for Christmas shopping, having a catch up with friends and lots of festive cheer,” said the Cecas gang on Instagram.
In order to avoid congestion on the narrow road into the centre, there will be a free shuttle bus running to and from Leap all day long. The CECAS market takes place on Sunday, December 3rd from 11am-3:30pm.
