Christmas can be hard.
There’s no easy time to decide to give up alcohol for good; there always seems to be some excuse for a tipple.
But between FOMO, office parties, and meeting up with old friends, the festive season is a particularly tricky time to stop drinking.
That’s why Boozeless Beours, a community group for Leeside women who are leading or looking to lead a sober life, has organised a free meet-up in a MacCurtain Street cafe on December 30th: a social event to offer support and friendship in an alcohol-free social setting.
“As it’s the festive season and lots of meet-ups and meetings have come to a close I felt drawn to organising a free meet-up between Christmas and New Year,” said Chloe, founder of Boozeless Beours on Instagram.
“This event is for anyone that is sober/ sober curious of alcohol-free [living] (whatever you like to identify as), all we ask is that you are not under the influence of alcohol or any other substance when attending our events.”
“It’s a great way to meet new friends in substance-free setting,” she added.
